In Russia, it is proposed to create a system of QR codes for registering migrants, as well as a register of foreign labor, said the president of the National Association of Builders (NOSTROY) Anton Glushkov.
This proposal is widely discussed in the government with experts in the framework of the “Aggressive Infrastructure Development” direction, which is being developed as part of the strategy of socio-economic development of Russia until 2030.
“We must put things in order and register labor migrants in Russia. We need to formalize our relationship. It is proposed that any worker entering the territory of the Russian Federation receive his QR code, which would confirm his legal presence at the construction site, “TASS quoted him on Tuesday, April 27.
Also, within the framework of the direction, the idea of creating an electronic register of foreign migrants employed in construction is being discussed.
In particular, it is proposed that before entering the database, labor migrants take an exam in the knowledge of the Russian language, take occupational safety courses and confirm their compliance with medical requirements.
Earlier, on April 24, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the country could introduce electronic patents for migrants engaged in labor activities.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is already developing a draft order concerning the introduction of electronic patents for foreigners working in the Russian capital. It is specified that it will become the first city in which migrant workers will be issued patents with an electronic data carrier.
