A refund of part of the funds for tours in Russia within the cashback program is possible only in case of purchasing a voucher on the Internet and paying with a Mir card. This was reported on the Rostourism website on Wednesday, July 29.
“You can pay for the trip only on the page of the tour operator or hotel on the Internet. Cash payment or payment through a bank terminal in the offices of travel companies or hotels within the framework of this program is not possible, ”the statement said.
It is noted that the voucher must be paid in full in one payment and the tour must take place before December 20, 2020.
A week ago, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that tourists who decided to relax in the country will receive monetary compensation: from 5 thousand to 15 thousand rubles. Moreover, the duration of the tour must be at least five nights, and the cost must be at least 25 thousand rubles.
In addition, Rosturizm said that cashback for tours in Russia will be made to the Mir card within up to five days. According to the head of the organization Zarina Doguzova, those who do not have cards of this payment system will be able to “quickly and completely free of charge” issue them for buying a tour.
The head of the Crimean parliamentary committee for tourism, resorts and sports Alexei Chernyak commended the cashback program for tours and suggested that this initiative would be an impetus for the development of domestic tourism.
