In early May, residents of Russia will have two shortened working weeks for Russians – they will have to work from May 4 to 7 and from May 11 to 14.
Accordingly, the days off are planned from May 1 to May 3, in connection with the Spring and Labor Day, as well as from May 8 to 10, when Victory Day will be celebrated in the country. The working day before the holiday on April 30 will be reduced by one hour, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta, referring to Rostrud.
If desired, the employee has the right to take a day off or several days on account of the vacation. The employer can independently take the initiative and provide the subordinate with an additional day off, but will be obliged to pay for it, remind representatives of the state body.
As for the weather for the May holidays, according to forecasts, it promises to be good. It is expected that the last month of spring will become warm almost throughout the country. In the middle lane, temperature indicators can exceed the climatic norm by one degree.
As we wrote earlier, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is considering extending the May holidays.
