As of April 1, 2021, in Russia, the total wage arrears amounted to 1,730.2 million rubles.
In the Central Federal District, employers of various levels (except for small businesses) owe employees 360.1 million rubles as of April 1, 2021. It is noteworthy that the Tula region did not make its “contribution” to the total amount of overdue debt.
The same cannot be said about the neighboring regions. In the Kaluga region, the debt was 16.6 million rubles. In Ryazan – 18.9 million rubles. In the capital – 46.8 million rubles. In the Moscow region – 83.5 million rubles.
Of the total amount of unpaid wages as of April 1, 2021, debts formed in 2021 account for 328.3 million rubles (19.0%), in 2020 – 507.7 million rubles (29.3%) , in 2019 and earlier – 894.2 million rubles (51.7%).
By type of economic activity, the number of employees with debts was distributed as follows: manufacturing – 38.3%; construction – 21.3%; mining operations – 12.4%; agriculture, hunting and service provision in these areas; logging – 10.3%; transport – 4.9%.
