The rolling power outages introduced in Abkhazia three days ago in connection with an accident on the Kavkasioni high-voltage line will be canceled from March 8. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Christina Ozgan announced this at a meeting with the President of the Republic on March 7.
She stated that on March 6, specialists from the Abkhazian energy company Chernomorenergo flew over the Abkhazian section of the Kavkasioni high-voltage line and found no damage.
According to the minister, on Sunday a malfunction was found and eliminated at the Georgian section of the Kavkasioni overhead line. Ozgan noted that work on the restoration of the high-voltage line is currently being completed, Sputnik Abkhazia reports.
