In the Tula region, Rospotrebnadzor employees constantly monitor the quality of drinking water. Every year, more than 3,000 thousand water samples for sanitary-chemical indicators and more than 3,500 thousand samples for microbiological indicators are sent to the “Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Tula Region” for examination.

Water supply from the distribution network, which does not meet the sanitary-chemical criteria, in the first half of the year amounted to only 10.4%, and for microbiological criteria – 0.5%.

Experts have found in some samples unacceptable content of salts of total hardness and total iron. As noted in Rospotrebnadzor, residents of the Tula region did not become infected with infections transmitted by water.

90.5% of the residents of the Tula region are provided with high-quality drinking water. In cities, the percentage of people receiving good drinking water is 95.6.
