The parliament of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has nationalized all of Ukraine’s real estate on its territory. This was reported on Friday, April 30, by the Donetsk News Agency.

“According to the law, it is envisaged that real estate that was in state ownership of Ukraine or communal property of territorial communities is recognized as the property of the DPR or municipal property. The document was adopted in two readings unanimously by 89 deputies present at the meeting, ”the message says.

In addition, the document determines the procedure for state registration of rights to real estate that has passed into the ownership of the Republic or municipal property, the publication noted.

“The law will be sent for signature to the head of the DPR and will enter into force 10 days after its official publication on the official website of the People’s Council,” the journalists concluded.

On April 28, Moscow’s proposals to reduce tensions in Donbass were blocked by Kiev at a regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the conflict in southeastern Ukraine. The plenipotentiary representative of the Russian Federation Boris Gryzlov noted that “for the sake of observing the far-fetched red lines” that contradict the Minsk agreements, Kiev “sacrifices the safety and lives” of Ukrainian citizens.

Since 2014, Kiev has been conducting a military operation against the residents of Donbass, who refused to recognize the results of the coup and the new government in Ukraine. In this situation, the Ukrainian authorities blame Russia and are trying to win other countries over to their side. Moscow has repeatedly noted that it is not a party to the internal Ukrainian conflict.

The settlement issues are being discussed in the Normandy and Minsk formats – with the participation of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France.
