Putin held a meeting to prepare a message to the Federal Assembly

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, April 19, said that he was holding meetings for two days in preparation of a message to the Federal Assembly, including negotiations with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

Vladimir Putin said that negotiations on the preparation of the message are being held in various formats several times a day.

“Today, in different formats, we have been preparing the President’s message to the Federal Assembly for almost the whole day. And yesterday I talked with some of my colleagues, and today – several times already – with the Prime Minister, with some Deputy Prime Ministers, with the Minister of Finance, ”the Russian president said.

He also pointed out that the participants in these meetings are on the verge of making final decisions on topical issues in such important areas as the social sphere and infrastructure development projects.

The President of the Russian Federation called on the participants of the meetings to adopt “at least” an interim result in order to form the final point of view on the issues noted by Vladimir Putin.

In addition, as reported by Regnum, the Russian leader noted the importance of maximum results from the standpoint of economic development, support for enterprises and the population, in particular those people who especially need state support.

Putin asked “to be careful about public finances so that every ruble is effectively used and benefits the development of the economy and each individual person, to whose support these funds will be directed.”

The day before, on April 19, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov announced that deputies, senators and the governor’s corps would take part in the message of the head of state to the Federal Assembly.

Also on Monday, Peskov said that the President’s message to the Federal Assembly will be attended by deputies and senators, as well as the governor’s corps. Before the event, MPs and senators will pass the COVID-19 test three times.

The hearing of the President’s message to the Federal Assembly will take place on April 21 at 12:00 in the central exhibition hall “Manezh”.
