On Friday, April 9, in the Kaluga region, the winners of the “Greetings from Kaluga” art competition were awarded, which was timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s first flight into space. This is reported by the regional government.
The winners were presented with gift certificates from sponsors. But the main thing is that the creativity of the people of Kaluga formed the basis for a series of unmarked postcards with an indication of the authors of the works. They are already available for purchase at the main post office in Kaluga.
The works were evaluated in three nominations by Kaluga experts in the field of culture, tourism and astronautics. The jury was headed by the chief architect of Kaluga Aleksey Komov. As a result, Vyacheslav Chernikov’s drawing took first place in the First Space category. In the nomination “Inventing the Future” the work of Pavel Wolfson was recognized as the best, and “The City of Tsiolkovsky” was again best portrayed by Vyacheslav Chernikov.
