Some of the enterprises will continue to work in the period from May 1 to May 10, announced as a weekend. This was announced on Monday, April 26, by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
He explained that employers would not be punished in this case.
Peskov also noted that the head of state will work on holidays.
“We have repeatedly said that, in fact, the duties of the president imply constant functioning. There is a constant flow of documents, it is necessary to resolve operational issues, to hear reports from departments, ”the press secretary explained.
He added that these processes do not imply days off, however, the president does not plan public events on these dates.
On April 23, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on non-working days between the May holidays. So, the days from 1 to 10 May are declared non-working. This decision was made in order to achieve a more stable epidemiological situation in the country.
It is noted that the measures taken are aimed at maintaining the trend of reducing the spread of coronavirus and to improve the health of citizens.
