The fire broke out in an apartment located in a residential building built in 1917 in the center of Moscow, the Moscow Department of Emergency Situations reported on May 3.
Information about the fire was received at 00:34. It is noted that the fire broke out on the first floor of a three-story building at 24/7 Sadovaya-Karetnaya Street.
“Fire and rescue units rescued 15 people from the house during reconnaissance and extinguishing the fire. Unfortunately, one person died, ”the text says.
The area of the fire was 30 sq. m. Firefighters have already extinguished the fire. The evacuated residents are examined by doctors.
On May 1, in the city of Kudymkar in the Perm Territory, a fire in a private one-story wooden house killed eight people, two of whom were children born in 2011 and 2016. A criminal case was initiated. The tragedy could have been caused by careless handling of fire.
