According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), over the past day in Germany, the number of newly infected people has increased by 22 806, which is slightly more than yesterday (22 268). This means that since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of infected people has exceeded the million mark. In addition, 426 deaths were recorded in 24 hours. Currently, 3,826 patients with Covid-19 are being treated in the intensive care unit.

As of Friday, November 27, 1,006,394 cases of infection have been recorded in the country since the beginning of the collection of official statistical information on the coronavirus. The total number of deaths from Covid-19 to date is 15,586. The R value over 4 days is approximately 0.76.

It is estimated that there are 294,708 active cases, that is, people currently infected. This figure is not officially recorded by the Robert Koch Institute. However, as in other countries, it is determined by subtracting the number of deaths (15,586) and the estimated 696,100 recovered from all ever infected.

According to the Intensive Care Register, 3,826 people are currently being treated for Covid-19 in intensive care units. This represents approximately 13.7 percent of the approximately 28,000 intensive care unit beds in Germany.
