The second batch of Sovigripp vaccine has arrived in Kalmykia, intended to continue the mass immunization of the population.
The day before, the republic received the second batch of the anti-influenza drug “Sovigripp” in the amount of 66,524 pieces. Of these, 29,624 doses are intended for children, 36,900 for the adult population. The vaccine has been distributed between the medical institutions of Elista and the districts of the republic, where the population is immunized free of charge.
We will remind, vaccination against influenza began in early September. About 30 thousand doses were brought to the republic then. First of all, doctors, teachers and other workers from the risk group were vaccinated.
As noted in the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the supply of influenza vaccine will continue. This fall, it is planned to vaccinate at least 60 percent of the 271,135 residents of the republic against influenza, that is, about 160 thousand people.
