More than 790 thousand schoolchildren registered in 2021 for the Unified State Exam (USE) and final exams. This was announced on Wednesday, February 10, by the head of Rosobrnadzor Anzor Muzaev.

“Formation of the base has been completed, all applications of the participants have been accepted. At the moment we have 795 thousand applications, including graduates of this year and graduates of previous years, ”he said.

Muzaev added that Rosobrnadzor will give schoolchildren additional time until mid-May to make a decision on passing the final exams instead of the USE and an additional week in July to pass the unified state exam for schoolchildren who cannot pass it due to the spread of COVID-19.

“We have introduced such a novelty this year by analogy with last year, we still don’t know what the situation with COVID will be in June this year … Taking care of ourselves, we introduced an additional week in July <...> for those guys who, according to different for reasons they will not be able to take part in exams during the main wave in June and reserve days in June, ”the head of Rosobrnadzor noted.

According to Muzaev, it is not planned to cancel the final essay on the Russian language in the 11th grade.

“The admission to the exam in the form of an essay remains. The writing will take place, we have moved the dates from January to April, April 15, and two additional days of reserve – before the May holidays and after the May holidays, ”he explained.

Earlier, on February 3, the Moscow Department of Education and Science said that about 80 thousand people registered for the USE in the capital in 2021. It was reported that among them more than 68 thousand school leavers of the current academic year and about 12 thousand graduates of previous years.

On February 5, Rosobrnadzor published the draft timetable for the Unified State Exam for the current year.
