The Ministry of Internal Affairs commented on the reports of a number of media outlets, which said that in departmental hospitals, by order of the minister, it was allegedly forbidden to treat pensioners of the department with COVID-19. It was argued that with such a diagnosis, only active employees were taken to the hospital.
The information is untrue, said Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk. She added that Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev “did not make such a decision.”
Wolf added that medical care for retirees is carried out according to plans approved by the government. It is also reported that the pensioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about whom the media wrote, “was hospitalized in a departmental hospital on January 14, the day of her appeal.”
