The Regional Ministry of Agriculture named the preliminary damage caused by the water blockade of Crimea. This is more than two hundred billion rubles.
The blockage of the canal greatly affected the yield. The volume of production of agricultural products has decreased, the profitability of growing crops has fallen. They simply decided not to grow rice, soybeans and corn. The volume of production of ground vegetables has significantly decreased.
The lack of water also affected animal husbandry. Due to the fact that feed began to grow in a smaller volume, the number of livestock had to be reduced.
Earlier, the speaker of the State Council of the Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that the authorities of the peninsula will sue Kiev because of the damage caused to agriculture.
