Five doctors of the Yaroslavl Hospital for Coronavirus Patients received Patriarchal Gratitude awards. They were handed them with the wording “for dedication and professionalism in the fight against coronavirus infection.”
From the very beginning of the pandemic, these doctors worked in the hospital for Veterans of War, some of them in the “red zone”.
The awards were received by the chief physician Mikhail Yurievich Osipov; Deputy chief physician for medical work Smirnov Dmitry Konstantinovich, anesthesiologist-resuscitator Sergeev Grigory Alexandrovich; nurse-anesthetist Anna Mikhailovna Lysenkova; nurse Anastasia Pavlovna Tyryshkina.
The solemn event was attended by representatives of the Metropolitanate, Vladyka Vadim, Metropolitan of Yaroslavl and Rostov, officials of the Department of Health.
Vladyka Vadim especially emphasized the importance of sacrificial service for the good of his neighbor.
“There is no greater love if someone puts his soul down for his friends.” – the Bishop quoted the Scripture. And he said that the doctors completely fulfilled the commandment with their work.
