Ukrainian citizens expressed the point of view that the country’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy should accept the offer of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and visit Moscow to discuss bilateral relations. This is reported by strana.ua with reference to the results of a survey conducted on the streets of Kiev.
Some interviewees expressed the view that Zelenskiy should not refuse to meet with Putin, since the Russian president has more weight in international politics. According to a number of Ukrainians, a meeting in Moscow would give the countries an opportunity to come to an agreement.
Also, among the respondents, there was a popular position that the presidents should meet on the territory of a third country.
The invitation voiced by Vladimir Putin was a response to Zelensky’s offer to meet with the Russian president in Donbass.
