From the beginning in May, a series of excursions to its sights – shamanic places, museums, temples – are held in Buryatia. The organizer is the tourist information center of the Republic of Belarus “Baikal”, according to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Belarus on May 4.
Among the attractions for which excursions are offered are the Merkit Fortress, the Ivolginsky Datsan, the 33-meter image of Shakyamuni Buddha, the Decembrists Museum in Novoselenginsk, the Steppe Wind ethnic music festival, and the Semeiski ethno complex in Tarbagatai.
The center also offers evening sightseeing bus tours around Ulan-Ude.
