Several districts of the regional center were left without electricity

A cyclone that raged on May 1 in the south of Sakhalin knocked down a portal crane in the port of Korsakov and left several areas of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk without electricity.

According to residents of Korsakov, a strong wind knocked down one of the cranes on the quay of the northern port. At the moment, the port is storming, water floods the pier and equipment.

Residents of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk report that on the outskirts of gusts of wind and due to impending ice, wires were cut off along Zheleznodorozhnaya Street, at the turn to Troitskoye and in the courtyards of residential buildings along Krainaya Street.

Meteorologists transmit heavy precipitation in the form of sleet with rain, wind 15-20 m / s.
