Lokomotiv footballers beat Spartak in the match of the 25th round of the Russian championship, having won the sixth victory in a row.
The meeting took place at the arena of Russian Railways in Moscow, ending with the victory of Lokomotiv with a score of 2: 0.
The red-greens opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, after striker Francois Camano closed the pass from his attacking partner Fyodor Smolov.
At the end of the first half, Spartak defender Ayrton was sent off for a foul of the last hope; Fyodor Smolov scored the second goal from the designated free-kick with an accurate kick.
This victory was the sixth in a row for Lokomotiv at Tinkoff RPL. The railroad workers took third place in the standings with 46 points.
According to REN TV, Spartak and Lokomotiv fans started a fight in the stands at the beginning of the match. The circumstances and reasons for the fans’ conflict are being investigated.
Earlier on the same day, it became known that the St. Petersburg football team Zenit won the match of the 25th round of the Tinkoff of the Russian Premier League. The confrontation between Zenit and Sochi took place at the Fisht stadium and ended with a score of 1: 2 in favor of the Petersburgers.
