On the afternoon of April 28, the head of Krasnodar, Yevgeny Pervyshov, talked via video link with the mayor of one of the cities of Madagascar – Antsirabe. The city is the second most populous on the island.

“The mayor of this city is Mr. Honore Rasamimanana. In 1989, he studied language courses at our KubSAU. He received an offer to be friends with cities and, in the future, to become brothers-in-arms,” Pervyshov said in his social networks.

The head of the Kuban capital said that the idea is good and the authorities are glad to cooperate. “Moreover, we have points of contact – tourism, handicrafts, agriculture,” said the mayor of the regional center.

At the same time, Pervyshov noted that Krasnodar has many twin cities, but Antsirabe will be the first in the Southern Hemisphere. It also became known that work is underway on two projects – a photo exhibition and a video about the Madagascar city.
