Yesterday from the boxing championship of the Central Federal District of Russia among juniors of 17-18 years old, a team of pupils of the boxing department of the sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 4 returned to Kostroma.
The competition was held in Novovoronezh (Voronezh region) and gathered more than 120 young boxers from 16 regions of the country in the ring. The best result according to the results of the competition was shown among the Kostroma residents by the candidate for master of sports Alexei Rulev.
He had three fights in the 60 kg weight category and won three of them. Only in the final fight did Alexei lose on points to an opponent from the Moscow region. Nevertheless, from the competition he brought a silver medal to his hometown, which made his coach Sergei Rumyantsev happy.
