Ukraine will agree to the second part of negotiations with Iran on the situation with the plane shot down by Iran. This was stated by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevgeny Yenin on August 31.

“We will soon confirm our agreement to Iran,” RIA Novosti quotes Yenin.

It is also reported that the negotiations will take place from 18 to 21 October.

Earlier, on August 20, the Iranian side offered Kiev to hold a second round of talks on the Boeing 737-800 of Ukraine International Airlines shot down near Tehran from October 18 to 21, Iranian Ambassador to Ukraine Manouchehr Moradi told Ukrinform.

According to him, the talks will be held in Tehran.

“Regarding the second round of negotiations, I am also confident that, thanks to the goodwill of the parties, we will achieve very good results,” said Moradi.

On August 23, Iranian specialists gained access to some of the information from the black boxes of a Ukrainian airliner shot down by mistake by the Iranian military. During the process of extracting data from the flight recorders, representatives of the USA, Ukraine, France, Canada, Great Britain and Sweden were present, whose citizens died in the plane crash.

On July 30, it became known that Tehran agreed to pay compensation for the downed passenger plane. The Iranian authorities initially denied their responsibility, but later still admitted it.

The Boeing 737 of Ukraine International Airlines flight Tehran-Kiev crashed on the morning of January 8, a few minutes after departure. Nine crew members and 167 passengers were killed.

According to the Iranian investigation, the tragedy occurred due to the human factor and an error in setting up one of the air defense systems, as a result of which, after the Ukrainian plane took off from the airport, two missiles were fired at it.
