A Kazan resident set fire to his wife after a family quarrel, the woman died from burns, writes Tatar-inform. As the assistant to the head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan Elvira Gazizova said, the tragedy took place in the village of Derbyshki on the night of September 9. According to the investigation, the 40-year-old man had a falling out with his wife, and when she fell asleep, he poured alcohol-containing liquid on her and set her on fire.
When the whole apartment was on fire, the neighbors called the fire department and an ambulance.
At some point, the man, apparently realizing what had happened, still pulled his wife out of the fire. She received thermal burns of 60% of the body surface, burns of the upper respiratory tract. The woman was hospitalized in the RCH in the intensive care unit, but the patient died on September 16.
