Realization of the football Superleague is impossible after the withdrawal of the participants of the tournament of six English clubs, said the president of Juventus and vice-president of the football Superleague Andrea Agnelli on 21 April.
“Frankly speaking, we will not be able to implement the conceived project without the participation of English clubs,” the Guardian newspaper quotes Agnelli.
At the same time, he expressed his conviction that European football needs changes. According to him, he still believes in the success of the idea of creating the Super League.

The announcement of the creation of a new tournament caused a negative reaction from UEFA itself, as well as from the UEFA football associations and the top divisions of the football leagues in England, Italy and Spain – clubs from these countries were the founders of the Super League. The International Football Federation (FIFA) also condemned the project.
UEFA officials said that all clubs participating in the Super League will be barred from playing in all other domestic, European and world competitions, and players from these teams may be banned from playing for their national teams.
