On Saturday, January 30, 48-year-old two-time Stanley Cup winner, Olympic champion Jaromir Jagr, scored his first goal in the 2020/21 season in the match of the second-strongest division of the Czech Championship in ice hockey between Kladno – Dukla.
Jagr’s team “Kladno” lost to “Dukla” in shootouts 3: 4. Cech scored the third goal in the 51st minute. In the previous 8 games of the championship, the renowned hockey player could not score, in which he limited himself to 1 assists.
Also in the composition of “Kladno” Russian striker 2010 Gagarin Cup winner Stepan Zakharchuk distinguished himself.
In March 2020, the Russian forward of HC Washington Alexander Ovechkin ousted Jagra from the third line of the list of goalscorers in terms of the number of goals in away matches of the National Hockey League.
Jagr, with 1,921 points, ranks second in the NHL’s top scorers list and third in goals scored (766) and matches (1,733). He is also the most prolific European hockey player in league history. As part of Pittsburgh, Jagr won the Stanley Cup (1991, 1992), was recognized as the most valuable player in the league in the 1998/99 season, and became the top scorer of the regular season for four years in a row (1998-2001).
As part of the Czech national team, Jagr won the Olympic Games (1998) and twice became the world champion (2005, 2010). He is one of 27 players who managed to win the Stanley Cup, Olympic gold and World Championship.
