Kristina Kobyz, head of the committee for the implementation of cross-border cooperation programs and tourism of the Pskov administration, said this at a press conference on the implementation of projects in Pskov within the framework of cross-border cooperation programs.
“Our partners in Latvia used funds for the restoration of the second floor in the 1870 Cessian Castle, where there was a fire. There they restore the ventilation system and heat supply. As a result, this castle will be able to receive guests: both Latvians and residents of other countries in its original form. The cellar is being restored in Daugavpils – an exhibition hall with paintings will be opened there. In addition, if we are restoring 3-4 hectares at the Mirozhka River, then in Võru we have made a park by the Korale River. There they also equipped walking areas and places for youth classes. “
Kristina Kobyz emphasized that the partners are satisfied with the cooperation.
“We are not something that we have not put to shame, they want to work with us further,” she commented on Pskov’s position in the program of cross-border cooperation.
