The black boxes of the Ka-32 helicopter, which crashed in the waters of the Curonian Lagoon in the Kaliningrad region, were not found and did not rise. Such a statement on Friday, March 26, was made in the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the North-Western Federal District.

“The black boxes were not found and did not rise. We do not confirm this information, ”TASS quotes a representative of the RF IC.

The interlocutor of the agency also noted that search operations on the territory of the incident are still being planned.

A source of the RIA Novosti agency reported earlier on March 26 about the discovery of the black box of the Ka-32 helicopter that crashed in the Kaliningrad region.

The Ka-32 EMERCOM of Russia was performing a scheduled training flight when communication with it was lost. Later, the system 112 received information about the crash of the aircraft in the water area of ​​the Curonian Lagoon, 5 km from the city of Polessk.

There were three people on board the helicopter. One of them died, the condition of the two passengers was assessed by doctors as of moderate severity.

The head of the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Aleksey Baranov, in turn, specified that the helicopter underwent all the necessary pre-flight training before departure, during which the technical condition of the aircraft did not raise questions.

On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under Art. 263 of the Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport, resulting in the death of a person by negligence”).
