On April 5, due to floods in a remote microdistrict of the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk, the pontoon crossing over Cheptsa was closed. So the inhabitants of Karintorf found themselves in a blockade.
It is now possible to get to Karintorf only by narrow-gauge railway. Local residents began to complain about the lack of basic foodstuffs. The food supplied to the microdistrict across the river is no longer enough, the Chepetsk.RU website writes.
– The shelves with bread, milk and perishable products began to empty last week. What is produced by the local, municipal store “Melky Wholesale” is not enough for the needs of the residents of the microdistrict. As a result, residents almost have to fight for some products, – Chepetsk.RU informs.
