Servicemen of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) intercepted a drone from Ukrainian security forces near the contact line near the town of Yasinovataya. This was announced on Sunday, May 2, at the press service of the People’s Militia of the DPR.
“Today at 7:35 am, on the western outskirts of the village of Yasinovataya, air defense crews of the people’s militia timely detected and forcibly landed an unmanned aerial vehicle of the“ Quadrocopter ”type using the Terrikon-M2N electronic warfare station. battalion of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ”the statement reads.
According to law enforcement agencies, during the fall, the unmanned aerial vehicle dropped a VOG-17 fragmentation grenade, which exploded when it hit the ground.
“Thanks to the coordinated actions of the defenders of the republic, casualties among the population and destruction of civilian infrastructure were avoided,” the DPR people’s militia said.
On May 1, Ukrainian security forces fired at the northern outskirts of Donetsk with 20 mines. It is noted that in the direction of the village of Peski, fire was fired from a 120-mm mortar, and six shells were fired from an 82-mm weapon.
On April 30, the parliament of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic nationalized all of Ukraine’s real estate on its territory. The signed document determines the procedure for state registration of rights to property that has passed into the ownership of the republic.
Moscow’s proposals to reduce tensions in the Donbass on April 28 were blocked by Kiev at a regular meeting of the trilateral contact group to resolve the conflict in southeastern Ukraine. Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian Federation Boris Gryzlov noted that “for the sake of observing the far-fetched red lines” that contradict the Minsk agreements, Kiev sacrifices the safety and lives of Ukrainian citizens.
Since 2014, Kiev has been conducting a military operation against the residents of Donbass, who refused to recognize the results of the coup and the new government in Ukraine. In this situation, the Ukrainian authorities blame Russia and are trying to win other countries over to their side. Moscow has repeatedly noted that it is not a party to the internal Ukrainian conflict.
