In Saratov, 531 residential buildings were left without cold water due to an accident

In Saratov, due to a water pipeline accident, 531 houses with a population of more than 40 thousand people were left without cold water. This was announced on Sunday, March 7, on the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

Due to the depressurization of the valve, the water supply was turned off from 15:00 (Moscow time) on March 7 to 13:00 (Moscow time) on March 8.

“All without [холодного водоснабжения] HVS: 188 railways of various storeys and 343 railways of the private sector (531 houses). The population is 40,925 people, of whom 6,820 are children. There are 9 socially significant objects in total, ”the department notes.

The administrations of the institutions were warned about the shutdown in advance, the necessary supply of water was made.

The shutdown zone included 10 central heating points, one school, seven kindergartens, city hospitals and a maternity hospital.

In early February, residents of 170 apartment buildings in Voronezh were left without heating in a 20-degree frost due to a breakthrough in heating networks. The emergency happened on the networks of PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation”. Most of the houses were returned to heating soon after the accident.

The prosecutor’s office reported on a check on the fact of a communal accident.
