In Russia, over the past day, 9,908 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded. This was announced on Saturday, March 13, by the operational headquarters for monitoring and controlling the spread of the disease.
Most of all new cases were registered in Moscow (1600), St. Petersburg (943) and Moscow region (609).
“Over the past 24 hours, 9,908 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia in 85 regions. Of these, 12.9% had no clinical manifestations of the disease. 475 deaths were recorded. In a day, 12,868 people have fully recovered in Russia, ”the message says.
In total, during the pandemic, 4,380,525 cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country in 85 regions. Over the entire period, 91 695 people died, 3 985 897 patients recovered.
On the eve, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that the existence of several vaccines against coronavirus infection in Russia makes it possible to give the most optimistic forecasts for the epidemic situation. According to her, at present, the main task is to create such a layer of citizens vaccinated against the coronavirus, which will prevent the infection from spreading.
The day before, the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Russia Melita Vuinovich emphasized that the situation with COVID-19 in the Russian Federation has improved slightly. She explained that the country is emerging from the pandemic with fewer shocks than many European states.
