In Russia, over the past day, 9,284 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, the operational headquarters for combating the disease reported on Thursday, April 29.
Earlier, on April 28, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the country had survived the acute phase of the coronavirus pandemic. He noted that this was facilitated by the measures taken.
On the same day, the head of the preventive center of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, Vadim Pokrovsky, indicated that it is not yet possible to talk about the beginning of the third wave of coronavirus in Russia.
However, according to Pokrovsky, it is still necessary to maintain the anti-epidemic regime in full so that there is no surge in the growth of cases of COVID-19.
A large-scale vaccination against COVID-19 has been taking place in Russia since January 18. The vaccination is given free of charge to everyone. At the moment, three vaccines against coronavirus have been registered in the country: Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and KoviVac.
