A police officer in Moscow was injured in a car chase whose driver violated traffic rules. During the detention, firearms were used. This was reported on May 1 at the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the capital.
“At about 00:00 on Molotogvardeyskaya Street, traffic police found a car, the driver of which grossly violated traffic rules, ignored the lawful demands of the police to stop, in this regard, it was decided to pursue this car,” the message says.
It is noted that the police officer who arrived at the scene demanded the driver to stop the car, but the driver ignored him and ran into the policeman, and before that inflicted bodily harm on him.
Weapons were used to stop the car. As a result, the driver was detained, he showed active resistance. About 10 police cars took part in the pursuit of the car.
Earlier, on April 30, an accident was reported in the Stavropol Territory. According to preliminary information, at 16:40 on the 535th kilometer of the Astrakhan-Elista-Stavropol highway, three cars collided, including a truck and a bus that was carrying children to the competition from Volgograd to Cherkessk.
The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs said that as a result of an accident, five minors were killed. The department clarified that there were 17 people in the minibus, including 14 children.
The Ministry of Health of the Stavropol Territory said that doctors are currently fighting for the lives of nine children. Two of the injured adolescents are in serious condition. The condition of four more minors is assessed by doctors as moderate.
