The evidence collected by the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tula Region was recognized by the court as sufficient for sentencing the 68-year-old resident of the Aleksinsky District. He was found guilty of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 h. 1 tbsp. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder).
The investigation and the court established that on the evening of October 4, 2020, in the village of Aydarovo, Aleksinsky District, during a quarrel after a joint celebration by the families of a birthday, the accused, who was intoxicated, stabbed the 53-year-old spouse of his partner’s daughter with a knife in the chest. The victim survived only because he was able to get to the hospital, where he received medical assistance. The accused had previously served a sentence in prisons for committing a murder, after which, since 2014, he was under administrative supervision. An aggravating circumstance for his guilt was the commission of a crime in the conditions of a particularly dangerous recidivism.
By a court verdict, the man was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of seven years, with serving in a special regime correctional colony.
