The prosecutor’s office of the Saratov region compiled a criminological description of the persons who committed crimes in the region in 2020.
In total, 11,960 citizens committed crimes in the region, women make up 14.2% of the total number of identified criminals. More than half of citizens (55%) are between 30 and 49 years old, another 390 criminals are minors.
62% of people did not commit a crime for the first time. 33.4% (3 thousand 991 people) decided to commit an illegal act, having an outstanding criminal record. Within a year after being released from correctional institutions, 977 citizens committed crimes, including 47 of the fairer sex. While drunk, 39.4% of citizens committed a crime, while being under drugs – 0.7%.
In terms of social status, 72.3% of criminals did not have a permanent income, 13.4% were hired workers, 3.6% were pensioners, 3.5% were employees.
