The ex-president of the country expressed his opinion on the issue that worries many today: whether quarantine will be introduced, because due to the growing number of cases, this measure is being discussed in the country’s leadership. Igor Dodon opposes the introduction of a lockdown in Moldova, as it will harm both people and companies. He is confident that it is necessary to stop the spread of the virus without stopping the economy or locking people in their homes.
– First of all, we must admit that Moldova is going through a constitutional and political crisis, into which we were pushed by several irresponsible politicians, and we all see the social consequences of this chaos. The pandemic crisis in recent weeks has become very difficult, and it is obvious that the situation has gotten out of control, including due to the fact that the president is not fighting the pandemic, having set himself the only goal – early elections at any cost, even at the cost of life people, – said Dodon.
The PSRM chairman is firmly convinced that only by overcoming the political crisis can the situation be reversed.
– Moldova needs a new government with a full mandate, which will immediately start working. But to appoint such a government requires dialogue and unity of the political class. And the faster the better. The lost lives are on the conscience of those who are stubborn and prefer an unmanageable country, ”the PSRM chairman said.
