A high alert mode has been introduced in the Olginsky District of the Primorsky Territory. The measure was taken in connection with the passage on August 11–12 near the edge of the tropical cyclone JANGMI.

As the regional government informed IA PrimaMedia, an operational headquarters has been created in the Olginsky district, a round-the-clock watch has been established, and interaction between command and control bodies and forces of emergency prevention and elimination units has been established.

The Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergencies of Primorye noted that the recreation centers “Baluzek” and “Balyuzek-2”, where 60 people spend their time, as well as the base “Uyutny Bereg”, where 110 vacationers, operate on the territory of the municipality. All accommodations are ready for the passage of the cyclone, there are diesel generators and equipment.

The department clarified that 19 backup power supplies have been prepared in case of emergency outages. 341 people, 118 pieces of equipment and three watercraft are ready to respond. An evacuation point for 50 people has been prepared.

Now the rise in the water level in the rivers reaches 273 cm, no outlet to the floodplain has been found. There are also no flooded settlements, bridges and roads. An overflow with a depth of 15 cm over the roadbed of the Kovalerovo-Nakhodka highway was recorded in the area of ​​the fork to the village of Furmanovo.

On August 9, it was reported that a new tropical storm JANGMI had formed on the weather map. Forecasters believe that it will not be able to grow to a typhoon, so there should be no hurricane winds. Cyclone movement will be accompanied by tropical showers.

Typhoon Hungan passed through the Primorsky Territory last week. About 80% of the monthly norm of precipitation fell in the southeast of the region.
