A year after losing everything in a flood, a Michigan man has won $ 2 million thanks to a scratch ticket.

The 29-year-old American, who preferred to remain anonymous, said he bought his ticket at a grocery store in Midland, according to CNN.
“Last year I lost everything, so winning this prize is just surreal to me,” the man said in a Michigan Lottery statement.
The new millionaire claims he has never bought a $ 20 ticket before, but the “Lucky 7’s” caught his eye when he went shopping. He also indicates that the number 7 is a lucky number for him.
“When I saw that I had matching symbols, I thought I had at least refunded my purchase. But when I saw that I had won $ 2 million, I couldn’t stop shaking, ”he says.
Lucky 7’s tickets offer the chance to win prizes ranging from $ 2 million to $ 20 million.
It is not the first time that the man has won a lottery prize either. He won $ 10,000 a few years ago.
In all, he will pocket $ 1.3 million since he decided to receive his prize in a single payment. He intends to pay bills and save the rest of the money.
“Knowing that my children will not go wanting is the best feeling in the world,” he admits.
