The chairman of the Moldovan parliament Zinaida Greceanîi, who is taking part in the 52nd session of the inter-parliamentary assembly of the CIS member states, met in St. Petersburg with the head of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the pandemic crisis, accumulated experience and ways to fight the infection.
Another topic of conversation was inter-parliamentary relations. Zinaida Greceanîi noted that the first meeting of the Friendship Group with Central Asian countries will be held on April 21 in video format. The group is headed by MP Bogdat Tsyrdya, it includes parliamentarians from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the Moldovan parliament – representatives of various factions.
Tanzila Narbaeva welcomed this initiative and spoke in favor of intensifying bilateral ties between our states at all levels. At the end of the meeting, Zinaida Grechany received an invitation to visit Uzbekistan.
