The situation with the presence of specialized beds for patients with coronavirus in the country has been recorded, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said on December 1 at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Despite the tense situation, we have not changed for a week the number of beds that we open for COVID – this is 276 thousand. The week before, we observed a constant growth. Now the situation seems to be fixed, ”the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
The increase in the number of vacated beds, in her opinion, is also associated with the possibility of opening new specialized infectious diseases hospitals, and with the implementation of the order to allocate financial resources for the purchase of drugs for outpatient medical care.
In addition, Golikova said that it is possible to start mass vaccination against coronavirus in Russia in December, and that an assessment of priority population groups, including doctors and teachers, is underway.
The President ordered vaccinations to begin next week. According to Putin, in the coming days, the number of produced doses of the domestic vaccine against COVID-19 will reach 2 million.
