Polyclinics and hospitals in Russian regions should return to routine work. This was announced on Tuesday, August 11, by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova during a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the government.

“Now we are strategically focused on ensuring that the regions actively return medical organizations to planned work. And already, if we compare June 1 and July 1, then the number of beds, which was transferred to routine medical care, amounted to more than 35 thousand. ” – said the Deputy Prime Minister.

During the pandemic, medical institutions in Russian regions were redesigned to receive patients with coronavirus infection.

On June 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Ministry of Health to resume the provision of routine medical care to the population.

Also, the Russian leader ordered the ministry to ensure the preservation of a reserve of beds for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 in the country’s medical institutions in order to provide the necessary assistance in the event of an increase in the incidence of infection.
