From April 1 this year, in order to mitigate the consequences of the financial crisis that erupted due to the pandemic, social protection package III comes into force in Germany.
First of all, the government extended the rules that make it easier to receive social assistance for residents of the country who have lost income due to the pandemic. Benefit payments will continue to be made without checking the financial situation of the applicants. Along with this, the state covers housing costs, even if the applicant lives in the apartment for more than the norm that is legally required for the recipient of social benefits.
