Fund specialists Stiftung Warentest tested 13 types of baby shampoos from different companies in November 2020. The indicators included such concepts as whether the hair is easy to comb and detangle after shampooing, how smooth and shiny the hair is.
In addition, in the laboratory, it was investigated whether shampoos cause burning in the eyes and irritation of the mucous membranes. Experts also checked whether the shampoos contain fragrances, as well as the presence of water-soluble synthetic polymers that are difficult to biodegrade.
The winners were baby shampoos from dm and Rossmann brands. These shampoos are ideal for children with long hair: they do not cut the eyes and the hair is easy to comb after washing. Parents don’t even need to spend a lot of money on shampoo for their kids. Good shampoos Balea Dusche and Shining Star are available at dm at 22 cents per 100 milliliters; Isana Kids Shampoo and Balsam at Rossmann starting at 43 cents per 100 milliliters. The experts of the foundation called Shampoo Aprikose and Baumwollblüten shampoos from Garnier a real happiness for children at a price of 82 cents per 100 milliliters.
Shampoos, in addition to the above requirements, must not be harmful to the environment. Proven baby shampoos from dm and Rossmann (for delicate baby sensitive skin) and SebaMed (baby lotion for washing skin and hair with panthenol) do not contain harmful polymers.
