The coronavirus, seemingly taken under control in the summer, is spreading rapidly again across Germany, Europe and the world. Experts say the situation will be less tense with the advent of effective medicines.
A new study by Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche is encouraging. Actemra / RoActemra, which was recently approved during a Phase III study in the fight against coronavirus-related lung disease, showed the expected effect. Patients who received the drug as part of the study were 44 percent less likely to need a ventilator, Roche said.
