G7 foreign ministers intend to discuss relations with Russia

The G7 foreign ministers will hold discussions on Tuesday in London on relations with Russia, China, Iran, the situation in Myanmar, Libya, Ethiopia, Belarus and the civil war in Syria. The corresponding statement of the British Foreign Office was published before the first in two years G7 ministerial meeting in face-to-face format.

In addition to the heads of the Foreign Ministries of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, USA, France, Japan and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, representatives of Australia, India, South Korea, South Africa and the Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Lim Jock Hoy.

The British Foreign Office said in a plenary session on Tuesday, ministers are set to discuss “Russia’s ongoing hostile activities,” including the concentration of troops on the Russian-Ukrainian border and the imprisonment of opposition politician Alexei Navalny.
