Unusually warm weather is expected in several regions of Russia until the end of March, the temperature there will be 2-12 degrees above normal, said Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to him, we are talking about the territories of the Central, Northwestern, southern Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts, reports TASS.
“In the north-west the temperature will be high in the coming days, in the center it is also high, but the anomalies are slightly less. In the south of Siberia and the Far East, the temperature is also much higher than normal. A few days ago, it was exactly the same as in the center of the European part of Russia. This is non-standard and surprising – the temperature is 7-9 degrees above normal in Transbaikalia, and in the south of the Irkutsk region, and in the Amur region, and in the Khabarovsk Territory. In Yakutsk, anomalies reach 12 degrees, ”the meteorologist said.
Vilfand added that in Moscow and other cities of the Central Federal District, the temperature will be 2-5 degrees above normal, in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region – 6-7 degrees above normal.
The daytime temperature in the regions in the south of Siberia and the Far East will be in the range of 4-8 degrees above zero, in Vladivostok it will reach double-digit values, the scientist noted.
Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that up to 9 degrees of heat is expected in the metropolitan region on weekends on March 27 and 28.
