Press Secretary of Primhydromet Viktor Chulkov said that Typhoon Haishen is approaching Primorye faster than the initial forecast.
Due to the typhoon in the south of the region, heavy rains with a lot of precipitation are expected, in places of thunderstorms. On the southern coast of Vladivostok, the east, south-east wind is expected to increase up to 25-32 m / s. In the continental part of Primorye, the wind will increase to 15-20 m / s with gusts up to 24 m / s.
On the night of September 8, along the Peter the Great Bay, as well as in the south of the Povorotny-Zolotoy region, wave heights of up to four meters are expected, the sea level rise in the ports of the southern coast will reach critical levels.

Haishen is predicted to develop into a super typhoon. On Sunday, it will reach its peak of development, the wind will increase to 80 m / s. On Monday morning, the typhoon will approach the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula in the Jinju region, and then, losing strength, will pass through South and North Korea. The next day, he will be over the Chinese province of Jirin.
On September 3, the press service of the Russian Railways said that the bad weather in the Primorsky Territory caused by the typhoon “Maysak” led to delays in the movement of freight and passenger trains.
