Forbes magazine for the first time compiled a rating of the richest women in Russia who independently earned their assets. The list, published on Monday, March 1, was headed by Tatyana Bakalchuk, founder and CEO of the Russian Internet retailer Wildberries.
It is noted that this top 20 includes those who have achieved results on their own, who are actively involved in the family business, but did not inherit it, or who do business with partners.
The magazine stressed that over the past year, Wildberries’ turnover has almost doubled (to 437.2 billion rubles). The editors estimated Bakalchuk’s capital at $ 10.1 billion, which makes it possible for the founder of the online retailer to enter the top 10 richest women in the world who built their business on their own.
